The Machine Vision World Meets in Berlin: EMVA Business Conference, April 11th/12th 2008

The annual Business Conference of the European Machine Vision Association (EMVA) will take place on April 11th and 12th, 2008, in the German capital Berlin.

The conference unites executives and experts of the machine vision community from around the world and offers ideal networking opportunities. After steady growth in the preceding years, approximately 200 attendees representing some 20 nations are expected to come to Berlin. The conference language is English.

The conference programm comprises four thematic sessions. The first one focuses on Machine Vision in Germany, presenting market data as well as the influence of research on the development of the German machine vision industry. The keynote speaker, Professor Ferdinand Dudenhöffer, former automotive executive, university professor and founder of C.A.R. (Center Automotive Research at Gelsenkirchen University of Applied Sciences) will give valuable insights into automotive trends of the future and implications for machine vision suppliers.

The second session Technology Trends focuses on new processor technologies and their impact on machine vision and presents a technology of the future: organic electronics. The third session titled Business Trends addresses a more general topic: how workplace culture influences business success. Machine Vision Markets, the last session, focuses on Israel and Italy as geographical markets as well as vision technology in security and cars as new application areas.

But knowledge acquisition is not the conference's only value: it also gives the attendees the opportunity to reinforce their network among industry peers. The starting point is a get-together on the evening before the conference which takes place at the SAS Radisson Hotel where the world's biggest cylindrical aquarium will fuel conversations. Between the two conference days, attendees may engage in further networking during the evening event at the Communication Museum. An optional walking tour of the city centre of Berlin concludes the conference.
